The second test between Australia and England will take place at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday, December 16. Pat Cummins led squad outplayed the English players in the first test at Gabba and are leading the series by 1-0. The test will be played under floodlights, and with the pink ball.
The nine wicket victory was very insulting for Joe Root, as the English players struggled to score runs on the pitch. Bad fielding gave Warner a chance to play a big inning. Cummins 5-wicket feat in the first innings proved his abilities as a bowler and a captain. Travis Head's century awarded him the man of the match trophy.
England
England could only sum up 147 runs in the first innings. The skipper was sent back to the pavilion on a duck by Hazelwood. Jos Buttler scored the most runs, which was 39 after Starc took him. The bowlers weren't too impressive, and failed to take consistent wickets. Due to which Australia scored 425 runs in their first innings. In the second innings, they did perform well but could not match the skill level of the Aussies. Root and Malan played well in the middle order as they 82 and 89 runs, respectively.
Australia
Aussies played tremendously in both the innings, with both bat and ball. Cummins took Hameed, Stoked, Woakes, Robinson and Woakes in the very first innings. In the second innings, Head's 152 made the Aussies dominant and at that point defeating them was tough.
Weather Report
The skies will be clear during the test and the temperatures will be around 24 to 26 degrees.
Pitch Report
With the floodlights and pink ball, seam will be expected from the bowlers. Spinners will also get some assistance on this pitch.
