The seventh match of the ongoing Australia T20 League 2019-20 will see defending champions Melbourne Renegades facing off the Perth Scorchers on December 21st at Perth Stadium. The match will begin at 3:40 PM IST. Both teams suffered defeat in their opening match and they will be eager to open their account in this season.
Perth Scorchers had a disastrous outing in their opening match. Their batsmen were not at the races against the Sydney Sixers. Scorchers' paid the price for being too aggressive too early. Mitchell Marsh and Cameron Green’s 58-run stand and a quick-fire innings by Fawad Ahmed lifted the total to 131 but it wasn’t enough. For the Perth Scorchers, top-order has to be at his best if they are to roll over the Renegades.
Melbourne Renegades didn’t have a good start either, the defending champions lost to Sydney Thunders in a close encounter. Their multitude of errors in the field cost them the match. Renegades top order provided a good start but they couldn't capitalise. Slow batting in the middle overs cost them dearly as they only managed to score 169 on a good batting surface. Renegades’ sloppy fielding can undo some great death bowling from Gurney and Richardson. The Renegades will be pinning their hopes on Finch to deliver along with Shaun Marsh. Harry Gurney and Kane Richardson will also hold the key.
