The 18th match of the popular Australia T20 League will be played between Brisbane Heat and Perth Scorchers on January 1st 2020. The match will begin at 1:40 PM IST on the Carrara Oval, Queensland. While Perth Scorchers are standing on the seventh spot with three losses, Brisbane Heat is just above the Scorchers on the sixth spot.
After losing two back to back matches in the Australia T20 League, the Heat made a strong comeback with a commanding win against the Sydney Sixers in the last match. Perth Scorchers, on the other hand, are bit on a tough spot. They have now lost three out of their four matches and are standing second from the bottom on the points ladder. Chasing a modest total of 175 in their previous match, The Scorchers capitulated for just 126 runs with only two recognised batsmen notching double-figures.
Perth Scorchers bowlers have also struggled in containing the opposing teams to small totals. Chris Jordan, Jhye Richardson, Fawad Ahmed, and Ashton Agar have all gone for plenty. But Scorcher’s spinners, Fawad Ahmed, and Ashton Agar will be crucial on the slow Carrara Oval pitch.
