The prestigious ICC men’s T20 World Cup will officially start from October 17 in UAE and the final for this 16-team tournament will be held on November 14. Oman will also host the event and they will host the qualifier's game. Super 12s and knockouts will be played in UAE. It’s expected that the tournament will start after two days of the Indian T20 League final. The remainder of the Indian T20 League 2021 will start from September 19 and BCCI president Ganguly has also given an official confirmation to ICC regarding hosting the event.
UAE will now host the event and the Indian board have taken this decision due to covid. There are updates of covid's third wave in India. Due to this pandemic, the remainder of the Indian T20 League will also be held in UAE.
