Premier League 2020-21 is in its final month. Liverpool had a disappointing season so far after an impressive title victory in 2019-20. 2021 offered a big disappointment to them. They have been knocked out in the Champions League as well, following League Cup and FA Cup exit. The Reds have won just one of their previous five matches in all competitions. Southampton have the strong chance to make a league double over Liverpool for the third time in their history. Liverpool have taken just six points from their last 10 games at Anfield which is a surprising thing, following their dominance over three years at home. They can proud of their home record against Saints. Liverpool are unbeaten in their previous six home matches against Southampton and even in their last three, they kept the clean sheet by scoring 10 goals.
Meanwhile, Southampton also has a similar story in 2021. They lost 13 of their 18 Premier League matches this year and earned only 11 points. Ralph Hasenhuttl's men are 10 points ahead of the relegation zone. Their story also changed after Liverpool’s game in January. They defeated Reds 1-0 at home, courtesy of Danny Ings strike. After the winning goal at St Mary, Ings failed to replicate the same. They need just one victory to assure their presence in Premier League.
