Bayern Munich starts their quest for another silverware on Wednesday evening when they face Borussia Dortmund in the DFL-Supercup. Bayern already has a successful year, winning four major trophies including the Champions League victory last month. Hansi Flick's side is on cloud 9 and they aim to take the revenge of the last season’s Supercup defeat to Dortmund. The reigning Bundesliga champion lost to Hoffenheim 4-1 on Sunday. After conceding two goals in first 24 minutes, Kimmich strike for Bayern in 36th minute but they couldn’t find the equaliser and Kramaric netted a brace in last 77th and 92nd minutes to break Bayern’s long 32-matches winning streak.
Meanwhile, Dortmund also has a similar story as they dropped points last weekend against Augsburg with a 2-0 defeat. Dortmund are the current DFL-Supercup as they defeated Bayern in the final to add 6th title, courtesy of Sancho and Paco Alcacer’s strikes. Lucien Favre’s side keen to replicate the similar performance of the last season on Wednesday.
