On August 22, England Board announced the schedule for the India’s tour of England 2025. This series will see both teams play a five-match Test series, a tradition that has been followed since the 2014 series. The Asian side is expected to play the final of the Test Championship 2025 in England. The dates for the summit clash have not been announced yet.
Meanwhile, the series will start in Late June next year, possibly after the WTC final 2025, which might be played in the first two weeks. The five-match series will be part of the next Test Championship cycle between 2025-27. For the first time in many years, both teams won’t play a Test match at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.
Before this series, the European side will host Zimbabwe for the first time in more than 20 years. Apart from this, the home team will also play a white-ball series against the West Indies. Talking about the Test series, all the matches will be played in the day-time. This means, once again, there won’t be any day-night games.

India would look to win their first Test series in England since 2007. In the three-match series at the time, the Asian side won 1-0 under the World T20 Cup winning coach for India, R. Dravid. In that series, India managed to barely draw the first game, followed by a spectacular seven-wicket win. The last game also ended in a draw. The last Test series between both teams in England ended in 2-2.
