Out of nine World T20 Cups, Scotland has played only five. After playing in the 2007 and 2009 editions, the team had to wait for 2021 to play this tournament again. On their comeback in 2021, the team qualified for Super 12, beating Oman, PNG and upsetting Bangladesh. In the previous edition in 2022, the team bowed out in the first round. Meanwhile, Scotland squad for the ongoing 2024 edition has been named.
The team has been slotted in the Group B with Ashes rivals, Australia and England, Oman and Namibia. Even though the likes of Australia and England are favorites to easily qualify for Super Eight, the other teams can’t be under-estimated after what happened in the first three games.
