For the first time in the history of the World T20 Cup, Canada will participate. Canada Squad has been named and these players will be part of the history. They have been part of a few 50-over World Cups, beating Bangladesh in 2003. After the 2011 50-over World Cup, they had to wait for 13 years to play a global event.
Players such as Zafar, Johnson, Singh, Dhaliwal, Gordon, etc are the ones to watch out for. Even though they don’t have the experience at this level, they can’t be under-estimated, given how T20 cricket in general can be fickle. Given their experience, even one win for the team will be regarded as an achievement.
Canada Squad:
S. Zafar (c), A. Johnson, R. Singh, N. Dhaliwal, K. Sana, D. Heyliger, J. Gordon, N. Dutta, P. Singh, N. Kirton, R. Pathan, J. Siddiqui, D. Bajwa, S. Movva, R. Joshi.
Reserves: T. Singh, A. Varadharajan, A. Khalid, J. Matharu, P. Kumar
