The 36th match of the Indian T20 League is scheduled to take place in the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Saturday. The match will be played between Delhi and Rajasthan.
Delhi has a strong hold in the League as they have won 9 matches so far. On the other hand, Rajasthan rests at the 5th position and needs to keep up with the top four.
In their previous match, Delhi won against Hyderabad in an easy manner. Rajasthan too registered a win against its opponent Punjab in the last game.
Delhi’s balanced squad
The players in the Delhi team have been invincible in this season, their bowling attack combined with outstanding batting line-up has made them a tough contender in this season. Nortje and Rabada are doing more than just fine and are bowling at a great economy and consistently taking good wickets. Simultaneously, Shaw and Dhawan are in an excellent form combined with the comeback of Iyer their batting order is unbeatable.
Stoinis’ & Billings’ Absence might be a Loss for Delhi
Marcus Stoinis suffered an injury and is expected to sit out in the upcoming few matches given that the T20 Men's cup is approaching. Sam Billings, the right-handed batsman, would most-likely replace Stoinis. Even though they seem unbeatable, Rajasthan has a good chance to pull a victory if they pull out a better performance than their last game.
Rajasthan Needs to focus on Middle-order
Rajasthan, in their previous match, was not in a state to win but Tyagi's magnificent spell saved them from losing the match. They will need more such performances to win against Delhi as they have a better squad than Punjab. The middle order of Rajasthan with Tewatia, Morris and Parag do not look very stable as they have not shown any worthy performance in the previous matches and we look forward for them to contribute more runs in the middle order.
Weather Report
Abu Dhabi has a hot and dry weather, just like always. The temperatures will hover around 36 degrees with no chances of rainfall.
Pitch Report
The pitch was a bit slow in the last match and it is expected to be the same in this match too. Therefore, spinners will hold an advantage and the results depend on which team utilizes its spinners in an effective way.
