International Cricket Council confirms their Olympic plans in 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. It happened after Tokyo Olympics and next will be played in Paris in 2024. They clearly stated that ICC will bid for the game's entry in the quadrennial sporting extravaganza. A Working Group will lead the bid on behalf of the sport and they are planning to add cricket in LA 2028, Brisbane 2032, and beyond.
ECB head Ian Watmore will head the ICC Olympic Working Group and he will be joined by the ICC Independent Director Indra Nooyi, chief of Zimbabwe Cricket Tavengwa Mukuhlani, ICC Associate Member Director and Vice President of the Asian Cricket Council Mahinda Vallipuram, and chair of USA Cricket Paraag Marathe. BCCI has also shown their interest and Jay Shah wants cricket to be joined in Olympics.
