All the speculations regarding the Indian T20 League 2021’s resumption came to end as the prestigious event will now resume in UAE. The Special General Meeting (SGM) of BCCI has given official confirmation on the venue of the Indian T20 League 2021.
Indian Board set a meeting over the resumption of the mega event which was postponed earlier due to covid. India was also a venue for the remainder of the tournament but BCCI believes weather may trouble the tournament during the month of September and October. UAE will now host the remaining 31 matches of the Indian T20 League 2021. Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah might host all the matches. BCCI already had an informal agreement with the Emirates Cricket Board.
The Indian board has also discussed the opportunity for hosting the T20 World Cup in India. The ICC will have a special meeting on June 1 to decide the whole matter. SGM meeting also discussed the salary issues of the domestic players.
