Glenn Maxwell becomes the second player to be sold at the Indian T20 League 2021 auction. Starting with a base price of Rs 2 Crore, the player was bought by team Bangalore at a whopping price of 14.25 Crore. The player was caught in an intense bidding war between Chennai and Bangalore as both the teams were eager to get him on their side.
With this buy, Glenn Maxwell becomes the 4th highest buy in the Indian T20 League auctions after Yuvraj Singh (16 Cr to Delhi in 2015), Pat Cummins (15.5 Crore to Kolkata in 2020), and Ben Stoker (14.5 Crore to Pune in 2017).
