Team Preview

Spurs are having a dream season this year, and on Saturday, they can boost their top position if they get three points against Man City. The season started with the speculation of Liverpool and City in the race, but the Spurs broke all football experts' predictions. They are not looking for the title glory, but they are optimistic about doing better in 2020-21. After 2017, Tottenham are playing Man City sitting above them in the table.

Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola faced earlier in the Manchester Derby and Guardiola edge in these meetings. Jose Mourinho suffered 10 defeats against Guardiola. Spurs have notched up 17 points from a possible 21 and sitting at the second spot, one point behind Leicester City, who will face Liverpool on Sunday. They have lost just once in their last 14 outings across all competitions recorded against Antwerp in the Europa League last month.

Mourinho's men have played against top sides like Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Leicester City, and Wolves. They have been terrific this season, and Harry Kane is leading the side on his shoulder along with Son. The duo netted 15 goals this season for the Spurs out of 19.

Meanwhile, Manchester City has won three of their last seven matches and dropped nine points to find 10th spot in the table. Guardiola's side are five points off 2nd placed Spurs. The City would hope to get three points at Etihad to step closer to the top four.

The previous outing against Liverpool ended in a draw. Sala’s penalty gave Liverpool an early lead, but Gabriel Jesus netted an equaliser in the 31st minute. City’s attack dominated the game but an unfortunate thing happened for the hosts as Kevin De Bruyne missed the penalty just before half-time. Guardiola's side has drawn their three of five games in Premier League, and they need to convert their draws into the win to move ahead in the table.
