With an on and off season, Hyderabad finally manages to end its league stage campaign on a positive note. Chasing a target of 150 runs, Hyderabad cruised to the playoffs with an easy win. Sandeep Sharma yet again turned out to be a blessing for Hyderabad as the brilliant bowler managed to pick 3 crucial wickets for the team in the form of Rohit Sharma, Quinton de Kock, and Ishan Kishan. Mumbai lost its openers within the first 5 overs of the game, when Sandeep picked Rohit’s wicket in the 2nd over at a mere total of 12 runs, followed by de Kock’s wicket in the 4th over at a total of 39 runs.
What came after was a quick fall of wickets as neither Krunal Pandya nor Saurabh Tiwari managed to stay put on the pitch. Mumbai lost 3 wickets within the 11th & 12th over of their inning.
