Australia Women vs New Zealand Women, 3rd T20I Match Prediction

New Zealand Women face off Australia Women in the final T20I of the series. Australia is ahead in the series 2-0.

Match Timings: Sep 30, 9:15 AM IST

Team Preview

The current T20 World Cup champions Australia continued their dominance at home by defeating New Zealand in the T20 series. After winning the opening T20I, Australia clinched the 2nd T20I by 8 wickets. NZ skipper opted to bat first to square the series but Sophie Devine’s call went bad as Kiwis bowled out on 128 as the duo Kimmince-Wareham picked 3-wickets each. In the chase, Australia made a blistering start as Healy smashed quick 33 off 17 balls to add 50 runs in just 4.1 overs. The early start helped Aussies to chase the total. Rachel Haynes scored a gritty 40 to take Australia 2-0 lead in the series. In the first T20I, Gardner was the player of the match who scored 61 and later, Megan Schutt scalped 4 wickets to draw first blood in the series. New Zealand requires big innings from their key players who are not converting their 20s or 30s into a big one. Ahead of the ODI series, both sides might try their bench strength.

Pitch Report

Allan Border Field, Brisbane offers a good amount of runs to batsmen. It’s a decent T20 ground and a score of 140 and 150 is still a competitive total. Pacers have the slight advantage comparing to spinners. After back to back games on this surface, spinners can take help in middle-overs.
