Melbourne Stars have made an impressive start to this year’s Australia T20 Tournament. The Glen Maxwell side has won both their games so far and are looking pretty strong. Adelaide Strikers also registered their first victory in the last match.
Melbourne Stars rolled over the Hobart Hurricane by 52 runs in their previous match. After the batters put on a above par total of 163 in their 20 overs, the Stars’ bowlers stepped up and bowled the Hurricanes on 111. Marcus Stoinis and Haris Rauf were the stars with the bat and ball respectively. The Stars will look to extend the winning run against the Strikers.
Adelaide Strikers, on the other hand, register their first win after their opening game got abandoned due to the environmental issues.
Jake Weatherland [83] and skipper Alex Carey [55] were on song for the Strikers on a rain hit game as they posted a mammoth total of 198 in 18 overs. However, the Scorchers looked on track to chase down the Strikers' monstrous target of 199 after a stunning 124-run stand between Liam Livingstone and Josh Inglis. But Rashid Khan’s brilliant spell turned the game in Striker’s favour. The Strikers batsmen will give a tough challenge to Stars’ bowlers.
