5 Uncapped Players Who Might Get High Bids in the Indian T20 League 2020 auction

As the Indian T20 League 2020 auction is just a few hours away, the franchises are keeping an eye on the potential candidates to build a powerful squad for their respective teams. Taking the previous records of the players into consideration, the owners will indulge in bidding war to get the best in their teams. While some franchises target big players, some look for young talents who have performed exceeding well in the domestic cricket.

Here is a list of five uncapped players (with base price worth INR 20 lacs) who have outshone in their latest appearances and can make it big in this auction.

Virat Singh

Virat will surely spark bidding war at the auction as he impressed the fans consistently with his exceptional performance. He bagged 343 runs at an average of 57.17 in 10 matches in the Indian T20 Battle. He emerged as the highest run-scorer for Jharkhand in the T20 tournament. The 22-year-old player is known for his game-changing knocks and his white-ball numbers had astonished the former-cricketer-turned-commentator Akash Chopra. His best attribute is to hold the innings together, even during the team’s failings.

Rohan Kadam

One of the standout performers who might earn a big contract at the auction. Last year, Indian T20 battle coincided with the auction and there was no selector to watch his batting. The 25-year-old young sensation has lifted two back-to-back trophies with Karnataka in the domestic 20-over competition. Touted as one of the prominent uncapped T20 players, he has the capability to turn from an anchor to an aggressor in no time.

Priyam Garg

Priyam Garg batsman, who will lead the 15-member squad to South Africa as captain in 2020, is one of the most sought-after players.  He can seal a decent deal at the auction, keeping his fabulous record this year in mind. He rose through the ranks pretty fast, owing to his unstoppable efforts. In 12 first-class matches he has played so far, Garg has scored 867 runs with two centuries. In 15 List A matches, he has 539 runs with one century. He ended his maiden domestic tournament with the whopping 814 runs at an average of 67.83, which the second-highest for UP. Even legendary former Indian player Rahul Dravid sang praises of Garg as he liked his temperament and resilience on the field.

Yashasvi Jaiswal
Jaiswal may attract big bid at the auction because the 17-year-old ‘wonderkid’ is the youngest player to slam a blazing double hundred in List A cricket. He earned 564 runs at a staggering average of 112.80, including three hundreds and a fifty. He has not played a T20 game in his career so far, but he is certainly one of the preferred candidates, given his long-term talents.

R Sai Kishore

Sai will ignite a strong auction room fight for bowlers, as he has the capability to bamboozle the batsmen. Sai Kishore bowled the bulk of his 44.5 overs in the Power Play with at incredible economy of below 5. He a will receive good bids, as the scouts are searching for economical bowler to be part of the contingent and amp up their spin arsenal.
